about me

"We are living on the planet as if we have another one to go to."
— Terry Swearingen (smart woman)

-I love wearing wellies. If someone said to me "would you like to come hiking?" I'd probably do one of those screams like in horror movies that really goes through you, like nails down a black board, just at the thought of exercise. But, if someone said to me "would you like to come hiking with me? we can wear our wellies" I would be screaming with joy. I don't know what it is about them but I could wear them all day, I feel like a cyberman like off Doctor Who when I walk in them. I have some black ones at the mo with pink paw prints on them, ooh I could write a piece about wellies!! Hmm...
-I'm a keen gardener, well, keen I am but talented I'm not
-I love doing jigsaws, especially Jan Van Haasteren ones
-I looove Christmas and am humming carols still
-My fave foods are seafood lasagne and chocolate
-Oh yeah, I'm vegetarian (still eat the fishies though, I'm working on it)
-I hate anything to do with politics because they're boring
-I'm left handed
-I dream of becoming a conservationist
-I believe in global warming
-I have a goldfish who goes by the name of Edwina, my bro has one called Smithy and my to-be-stepsister has one called... hmm... I seem to have completely forgotten its name, oh dear, I wonder if she even knows
-FRANCIS! I asked and it's name is now officially Francis, but I swear that's not what it was originally called, I'm sure it began with a 'c'
-My picture is a hat I made last year, each quarter of it is a different season so as they change I'll change the picture to reflect the weather!
(unless I forget, which I do a lot)
-Just to clarify, the websites below do in no way belong to me. I just think they're groovy.

I'm going to have to add a fave tv show section on here. It should have its own list. I watch waaaaaaaaaay too much telly. Anyhoo, here we go...
-The Big Bang Theory
-Lost
-House
-Glee
-Outnumbered
-Scrubs
That seems rather short for the amount time I spend vegging infront of the box. I shall add to it if I think of any more.

Ladies of the Night

Essay

A swish of the hips, a flick of the hair. Why, they've got the razzle dazzle indeed...

This is a practice piece I did in English the other month. I've made a few minor changes but overall, it was done in just under an hour. I had to describe a profession of my choice and had heard about this classy new breed of prostitutes on the telly so thought I'd give it a go. It's a lot different to the stuff I normally do so I thought I'd start with this, that way if it gets shot down I can tell myself it's just because it's not what I'm used to writing. So, erm (fingers crossed), enjoy!

Sports day

Essay

Ever wondered what Brit's do if, by some miracle, the sun makes an appearance one day?

Basically, it's another old piece of school work where we had to decribe a school sports day. I think I just about managed to avoid actually mentioning any sport in it. It's a skill. Hmm... I wonder how old it is.. I'll check................ OMG it was writtren exactly a year ago today. That's the second of feb 2009. Wow. Time flies. But anyhoo, I was really proud of it at the time and wondered what people on here would think. x :)

Bear on a Bike

by fudgeface

Poem

His name's Ted. His bike's pink.

I was just watching the to-be-step-sis mucking round with her ted, Ted, on his flash motorbike he got for christmas and this sort of came out. It's my first poem on here and I'm quite proud of it so I'd appreciate anyone out there taking a look. Thanks!! x :)

Note: It's written from the perspective of Ted.
