about me

i am inkpop's former site manager and blogger, and have worked in creative/writerly talent development as the founder-editor of venus zine (http://www.venuszine.com) and a writing instructor for columbia college chicago. i also write/have written for girl scouts of the usa, nylon magazine, time out, surface, and other magazines and sites.

for the inkpop blog (http://inkpop.wordpress.com), i profiled "inkpoppers of the week," teen talents, and awesome authors; i also reviewed books and got experts (ranging from aprilynne pike to megan whalen turner) to dish advice for "inktips."

i stepped down from my post on may 1, 2010. the new inkpop site manager is inkpoperika. i had a blast getting to know you, and i'll pop onto inkpop from time to time to see what's new.
