*an enormous thank you to anyone who helped sit tight, take hold get into/stay in the top five through november. (the story is private now because it needs hardcore editing.)

*reading policy: i read what i find on my own.

***the november revolution***:
read for fun.
don't swap as much.
let your project stand on its own.

i'm a 20 year old, writer, college student, and full-time goofball who enjoys getting lost in good books, blasting music, and going for long drives.

love: oldies music, classic cars, drive-ins, concerts, writing, steelers, sarcasm, books, traveling, david cook, foreign accents, people-watching, singer/songwriter music, youtube, rundown parks, bonfires, movie marathons, car-singing, pittsburgh, 3am, laughing, driving with the windows down, running into the ocean, dancing wildly.

don't love: traffic, slow-walking people who cut me off, people in the 10-items or less checkout lanes with more than 10 items, spiders, waking up before the sun rises, being bored, scheduling.

Book: General Fiction, Romance

Harper and Eli bet on their futures. Neither had a winning hand.

After high school graduation, Harper goes to her grandfather’s house in Ocean City, MD, determined to forget the painful memories of the injury that flipped her planned future on its head. It's there that she meets Eli, a boy who - like her - exiled himself to the beach as an escape. As the summer goes on, the two strike up a connection through their mutual love of poker – and through the unspoken pasts neither of them wants to face.

But as Harper rekindles her dream, she begins to realize that the future she longed for isn’t necessarily the future she needs, and that some dreams – like Eli’s – can never be replaced.

*Some of the chapter numbers are screwed up because I deleted unnecessary chapters. But the story IS in order.
