about me

I live in West Cork, Ireland. I've been writing for about a year, the Carrier of the Mark is my first Novel. I have nearly finished its sequel, Dawn of the Knights and the last in the series, Age of the Fifth, is fully outlined and ready to go, once I've finished editing the other two. I can't wait to get stuck into it.

I hope you continue to enjoy my work. For those of you gasping for Dawn of the Knights, I'll upload a couple of chapters in a few weeks, just to whet your appetite.

I've uploaded the first six chapters of a gothic horror I've been working on, called Haunting Jenny. I'd love if you could check it out.
And to everyone who's already recieved a pick from me, if you comment / pick Haunting Jenny, I'll be giving you a second pick through one of my friends so your work can benefit. It seems only fair.

I'm open to read swaps and I return all reads. While I appreciate you checking out any of my work, Haunting Jenny is my current project of choice, so I'd be thrilled if you'd consider it first.

All the very best.
Leigh

Yes, it was weird. Mutant. With this super speed, I couldn’t possibly be human… could I? What was I then, if not human?

The Carrier of the Mark

Book: General Fiction, Romance, Science Fiction/Fantasy

A move to Ireland is about to introduce Megan to her destiny, her real destiny, can she embrace it and will she survive it?

A tragedy in Megan’s past set her on a predetermined course. A chain of events has been set in motion that brings Megan to Kinsale, a small town in the south of Ireland where her destiny awaits her. Her life starts to fall into place as she makes new friends and settles into her new school. However, the reclusive and distant Adam DeRís calls to her body and soul.

She finds herself increasingly drawn to Adam and his strange family. Adam knows a secret from her past and he and his family hold the key to her future. A future that binds her to Adam and his world, a world of power, mystery and ancient orders. A world that unbeknownst to her, she very much belongs in.

I'm constantly editing. If you spot anything that needs correcting, let me know. The later chapters (8+) are undergoing some serious editing over the next couple of days. I'd love some feed back on them. Thanks so much and hope you enjoy. This is complete at 98K words and fully uploaded.

The Baby That Nearly Was

by Leigh Fallon

Poem

A little poem I wrote as a tribute to 'The baby that nearly was'.

Miscarriage at any stage of pregnancy is heartbreaking. People find it hard to express their grief for the baby that has been lost. But, others too find it hard to express their condolences to the grieving parents. What can you say? How can we comfort them? There are no answers, but what we can do is acknowledge the baby that nearly was. I hope people find comfort in my words.
