about me

i am a writer who loves to read and watch movies. something that is great because i get paid to know movies. i've completed three novels and am working on more. i also write a little bit of poetry and some journalism but my passion is novels.

forever never comes is part of a trilogy. i fell in love with the characters and decided to write more. book two, the trouble with being me, is now in the editing stage and ive been fighting with book three. thank you all for your support with the series. i'm also trying my hand at urban fantasy (no vampires) which is slow going at this point.

i am a very honest person. if i don't like your work i will tell you so, don't take it personally. i will also tell you why i didn't like it. i don't do it to be mean but we all have our tastes. i am also very sarcastic. again, don't take it personally. it is just who i am.

i love hanging out with my family and friends, watching movies with my husband and our yorkie, gizmo, and going for random walks in the middle of the night with my besties. i wear my hair up more than down because i don't like having to mess with it. i wear sneakers so i don't trip and fall and i usually only wear skirts over my jeans. i'm a loud-mouth person who isn't afraid to say what i think but i'll listen to what you have to say as well.

i love this site and all of the encouragement i've gotten here. between the awesome reviews, the killer people, and a few famous writer's encouragements i have decided to try my hand at writing professionally. it'll kill my creative writing teachers who told me i couldn't when i do which is one of the things i plan on. petty, i know, but i'm stubborn and really hate being told i can't do something.

ic#4 How to Deal with Living:A...

by GracieJordan

Short Story: Humor

Sometimes living gets hard. Here's my suggestions for how to deal with it.

I read the 'Here's the Plan' concept and tried to think of what to write. Should I write about an actual plan, a specific event in my history or future? Should I write about a plan gone awry? In the end I decided to write this humorous guide to how to continue living when life gets too hard to deal. We all have those moment where life gets hard and you want to check out but here's my way of dealing with it. Only, as a write I had to do something with such heavy overtones so here's my guide on living.

IC#20 I Can't Love you

by GracieJordan

Short Story: General Fiction

I think I'm falling in love with you...a simple phrase that ruined everything.

In a moment of blind panic the one person who ever meant anything to Gracie walked away and never looked back. Note:This is fiction. No need to feel sappy or sad or ask me why. There really is no reason.

Essay

The truth behind Aisling

Art often imitates life. In my case art helped to save my life. Panic filled my head and the characters I created that night began to change my life. The story of how Forever Never Comes was born.
