about me

hey everyone!
after my extremely long absence from inkpop, i am happy to say i'm back.
if i owed you a swap from when jaded was up, please message me and let me know. my first priority on here is to get those swaps returned and leave those people their reviews.
______________________________________________________________________
my swapping/reading policy:
-if you ask me to read your work and do not offer to return a read, do not expect me to even so much as message you back about it.
-if you ask me to read your work and offer to review my work in return, i will gladly accept the swap, but ask that you go first since you asked me.
once i've gotten your comment/review, i'll get right to working on yours.
-if you leave me a one-liner or two-liner comment just saying you liked it, then do not expect me to return the read. i'm looking to get helpful critisms on my books, not just praise. if you liked it, great! but please proove to me that you actually read the book by pointing out something you didn't like or something specifically that you did like.
-if you like my work, i'm going to have to ask you to please pick it. if you like my book, support it and click the pick button! i do the same, and trust me, it's not hard.
-i'm sorry, but i don't read many books with christian themes in them. i'm not very religious, therefore, i can hardly get into the books. if you have a book like this, please don't message me asking me to swap for it as i will not be able to give you a helpful review. *if it isn't entirely christian, that's fine. just make sure the entire book doesn't revolve around religion.

hello there :) i'm jessyka.
i've been writing ever since i was little and it's always been something i've loved doing.

i'm not very good at these about me's-- so i''ll just list off some things about me!
-my real name is jessica, but i like the spelling jessyka more due to it being much more unique.
-speaking of names, i love giving my characters unique and different names. i believe it makes them more memorable than characters such as 'kaitlynns' or 'ryans'.
-i love all animals. if i see someone wearing fur, i always make sure to cast them a dirty look.
-i am left handed.
-i like to draw on my arms when i'm bored.
-i listen to pretty much every kind of music, but progressive/symphonic metal is my absolute favorite.
-i'm very outgoing.

Imagine a world where everything everybody around you thought wasn't real... came to life.

Life for 16 year old Myress Dean has always been a bit dull; except for her visions. Ever since she was 10, she has experienced little glimpses of the past about whoever is around her. Almost half-way through her junior year of highs school, a mysterious group of teenagers shows up. Each one of them seem to be strange, yet compelling in their own way. Especially the girl with the violet eyes, named Shadow. When Myress suddenly begins seeing a 'door of light' in the small patch of woods behind her house, the pieces of who these strange new kids are and why Myress has visions seem to fall into place. Myress discovers she is the guardian of a secret world called Venaltra, where every mythical creature is real. When her little sister is suddenly taken and another guardian threatens to reveal all of Venaltra's secrets, it seems Myress is the only one that can save the day. Now, Myress has to make a choice. Her little sister? Or an amazing world that changes her life forever?

Jaded

by IntoTheWoods

Book: Horror, Mystery, Paranormal, Romance

Maybe the ones we consider insane are actually the normal ones. What if it is us normal people that are insane?

Emilessa Maxwell used to be considered a normal fifteen year old girl. She and her best friend, Nina, were the two most likable girls at her old school. When Nina is brutally murdered one night, everything changes. Emilessa goes through a complete transformation: she dyes her hair, pierces her eyebrow, and locks herself away from the world. She also begins to see Nina’s ghost just about wherever she goes.
Concerned for her daughter, Emilessa’s mom sends her away to a private boarding school in New England in hopes that her daughter will go back to being ‘normal’. When Em arrives at the school, two things happen: she is instantly forced into becoming a member of a secret society called The Jaded, a group of students who are just as strange as Em that are obsessed with a strange stone call the Jade, and Nina suddenly disappear.
When the Jade is stolen, Nina shows up again. But Nina isn’t the only ghost that comes back. When the other ghosts begin terrorizing the other students, it seems that Emilessa is the only one with enough courage to search for the Jade. The only problem is: she’d rather have Nina around.
