Are you a vampire writer sick of all the negative "Twilight" Backlash? Do you want to show readers that not all vampires sparkle? Is there just a vampire itch you have to scratch?

Then buddy, do I have a challenge for you!

On July 18th the Weekly Writer's Challenge launches 14th week with a vampire themed challenge. The "Give a Vamp a Chance" Challenge, is YOUR chance to show people that S. Meyer's human friendly sparkle-pires aren't the only way to go! Rise up to the challenge and prove that the vampire genre is "dead" yet!

hey, i'm writing to you because you commented on my story Sight. Right now, i'm having a major writer's block, haven't written anything on this particular story for months. So to try and get the juices flowing again, I'm going through some revising. Taking out any parts that seem confusing or unneeded, because as you may have noticed, my story is rather long and has a lot of twists and turns. I"m also trying to get some ideas, on where to go, because I know where I want it to end, just don't know how to get there. So if you have any ideas in that area, let me know! Thank you so much for reading Sight

Hello! I started a book about a week or so ago (well, started uploading it on here), Stake My Heart. From your profile, I'm guessing you like romances, and I was also hoping that, seeing as you've got to be a pretty great writer to have had two books in the top five, you'd check out my book? It's not exactly too romantic yet (can't exactly go about throwing a reader headfirst into a steamy love story, now, can I?) but I promise, as an avid romance fanatic, it will get romantic! I'm also 100% up for making it a swap, if that's your preference.

And cool hair! I've always wanted to try out something like that, but I'm naturally blonde and too much dark hair makes me look pasty. Gahh. You're so lucky.

Hi there, tabatha!

I was wondering if you would like to swap reads. My book, “The Roses of Cooraclare”, a story of love and war set in 1920s Ireland, is currently ranked #12.

If you are willing to go first, I will GUARANTEE you a return read. My trendsetter ranking is 87, and I consider everything for my picks. I always give read priority to the people who have already given comments and picks, so if you go first, you’ll definitely get bumped up on my read list. Hope to hear from you.

All the best,
drsheridan

Hey Vargot,

Thank you so much, for picking my newest story, Southern Charm. I think you're a wonderful and talented writer and I enjoyed On the Plus Side, so the fact that you thought my story was good enough for a pick means the world to me. I hope you enjoyed it. Please check back for updates on it soon.

Thank you again,
~Laney

Hey Tabitha! Congrats on getting two books into the top five! That's impressive, even though it was a long time ago.

Would you like to do a swap? 'Because You Laughed' is currently number 2 on the short story charts, and has climbed three ranks since yesterday, (resting at rank 18 overall.) I'm trying to push it into the top five for August. In return, I'll read either of your short stories and leave a 300+ word comment.

Thanks,
~Elanor

Hi, all…
LOVING EMILY is back and starting over from ranking # 6944. I had so many problems with my account that people couldn’t find my chapters and were getting error messages when they tried to pick me. I’ve uploaded twenty-two revised, updated chapters, and if you’d care to pick me—again – I would be more than grateful. Note: make sure you pick the one with the new red, blue, and yellow cover.
Thank you,
Anne Pf

Hey Tabatha,
I was wondering if you'd like to read my book, Álfar. It's an action-comedy about elves in today's world. If you'd like to read-swap, just tell me which project of yours you'd like read.
Thanks,
