Hey Jenny! I was wondering if you'd like to do a swap. I'll read your short story (well, scene from a book) if you'll check out 'Because You Laughed' which is currently 2nd on the short story charts. It's an all too true story about teasing and acceptance with an ending that packs a punch, and I'd love to see what you (being slightly older than the average inkpopper) think of it. Also, I leave long-ish comments, so this won't be a swap where you'll end up with a 'This is great!" comment on your story. :) Message me if you're interested, and here's my pitch:

Maddie's new friendship with a popular girl forces her to make difficult choices that will change her life... or end it.
Maddie is in her second semester at East River High, and she still has no friends. Eager for acceptance, Maddie is overjoyed when a chance meeting launches her into a friendship with the school's most popular girl, Hailey, and wins her the instant approval of the 'in' crowd. But there's more to popularity than meets the eye, and when hanging out with Hailey means teasing the disabled girl, Carla, Maddie discovers how going along with the crowd can be just as dangerous as leading it.
