When a Soldier Cries

by peanut081981

Poem

Soldiers are supposed to be rocks.

But soldiers are really just young men and women who are only adults in age. We don't really think about the mental affect this has on them, because they are TRAINED to be tough.

Actually, the reason it feels like it doesn't end is because WAR doesn't end. Ever. We all feel like because we don't hear about it, it's over. It's not. There are constantly men and women over there fighting, and struggling.

This is so sad :( And I can relate because like all the guys in my family have served and some are still serving. I like that you show that even the brave and tough cry. :)

Aww, this is so sweet. I love this poem! You have some beautiful lines in here, particularly the last stanza. My only suggestion is that it doesn't really feel like it ends after the last one. Maybe add a little more for some finality?

Also, in return, could you please check out "Winter Child"? Thanks :)
